Brand new playground equipment on karl broger street

The children have already taken to it with great pleasure: the newly designed playground on karl-broger-strabe in forchheim, with its new playground equipment, is a meeting place for children and parents alike. Together with the head of the public grounds department, herbert fuchs, mayor uwe kirschstein (SPD) officially opened the brand new playground equipment and symbolically cut the ribbon at the entrance.

As with the playground on forstweg in the reuth district, which was inaugurated just over a month ago, the city council also approved the 2018 funds for a complete general renovation of the facility on karl-broger-strabe. With the official inauguration – corona-conditioned only in small occupation – the tree-acceptance now found its conclusion. The general renovation cost around 66,500 euros.

Tendering and awarding took place in 2019, the playground equipment was delivered in 2020. In september, the dismantling of the old playground began, followed by the excavation of the fall protection areas and the erection of the new playgrounds. After four weeks of concrete hardening, earthworks and seeding, a play combination with various attachments such as a "tarzan bridge" now stands on karl-broger-strabe with net gelander, a "santa net" with a rope ladder, a climbing wall, and a "balancing pole", a stilt course, a "gamssteig" (a walk on stilts) and much more. In addition, a sand playhouse with various attachments such as sand debris pipes, a sand chute, a sand elevator and other things.

For small children there is a "bird’s nest swing", a six-seater swing for the more robust and a bench for resting and picnicking.
